Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, set aside her delicate demeanor with Prince William to start her grueling training in the army barracks of the 1st Battalion of the Irish Guards.
Kate Middleton returns to her responsibilities as a representative of the British royal family after a lengthy absence and dons a military uniform for the first time. Due to the numerous responsibilities she has as a member of the British royal family, it is understandable that the princess has not visited the training facilities since she was named colonel of this Irish brigade.
Kate Middleton has been concentrating more than ever on playing out her role within the royal family, this time in the military. She donned a camouflage uniform and took part in the activities, simulating fire with makeshift weapons and explosions, practicing first aid, and even applying a tourniquet for the first time to stop a “bleeding” in a makeshift wound.
According to the soldiers present at the training, they observed that the princess was very enthusiastic and performed admirably despite the challenging weather. They could not believe that someone of her caliber could complete the tasks, and they were surprised by the princess’ performance given that this was the first time she had participated in such military drills.
