A sparkling first at Windsor Castle
Princess Kate Middleton gave full royal glamour on December 3, 2025, during a state banquet welcoming the German president and the first lady to the UK. The event took place at Windsor Castle, where she finally debuted Queen Victoria’s Oriental Circlet Tiara. This historic diamond and ruby masterpiece was originally commissioned by Prince Albert for Queen Victoria in 1853. The secret hair hack fit for the Princess of Wales 
At one point during the evening, Kate Middleton leaned toward King Charles, and the cameras caught her hairy secret! Her hair was actually wrapped through a small opening at the back of the tiara, keeping the massive heirloom locked in place, as if it were royal Velcro. Garrard, the London jeweler behind the original design more than 170 years ago, explained that the piece is not a full circle, so it needs reinforcement. Princess Kate saw no problem and pulled off a genius hairstyle like a total genius.
A royal piece with legendary history 
Queen Victoria adored this tiara but never wore it after her husband died in 1861. In her will, she stated that the tiara could only be worn by queens or future queens. The piece was later worn by Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, who practically made it her go-to piece. Subsequently, Queen Elizabeth II wore it once in 2005. Now, Kate Middleton is the first princess ever seen wearing it in public. If destiny stays on course, she will one day wear it again as Queen Consort when Prince William reaches the throne.
