In August, when Kanye West did his multiple auditions of the album “DONDA”, he caused controversy by taking Marilyn Manson and DaBaby to center stage. The reason for so much noise is that the two were “cancelled”. Even so, he made this provocation. In a recent interview with the Drink Champs podcast, the rapper defended that decision.

This whole Me Too thing… Like, when I sit next to Marilyn Manson and DaBaby right after they’ve both been canceled, for five songs, you know, it’s like they can’t cancel all of us” explained Kanye.

DaBaby, for those who don’t remember, had homophobic and serophobic speeches (against HIV carriers) in the middle of a show. On the other hand, Marilyn Manson has multiple charges of rape and harassment.

They’re going to hit you with the accusations of someone you were with 10 years ago”, said Kanye West.

And also, there are women who have been through really serious things, put into alleys against their will – as different from a hug, but it’s classified as the same thing” he blurted out.

It appeared during the interview that Kanye West was making light of the “Me Too” movement, which encourages women to report cases of sexual abuse. For him, it’s not always fair.

It’s power and politics. You know, power-hungry maniacs and just control.

This is the 1984 mind control we are in”, completed the artist in controversial speech.
