We have all been fans at some point of Batman, and if we know a little of Batman’s history, we know that his greatest enemy is Joker. Joker, has been a story that was recently adapted, having Joaquin Phoenix as the main character, making a multi-awarded movie and very loved by the audience, it already had a very different context to what we know of superhero movies.
The film had a budget of approximately 60 million dollars and became a success, being highly acclaimed by audiences and critics alike, making it quickly confirmed a sequel, a sequel that would have Joaquin Phoenix as the protagonist again, but now as the character of Harley Quinn we would see the singer Lady Gaga.
One of De Luca and Abdy’s first approved projects, Todd Phillips’ musical “Joker” sequel, with an estimated $200 million budget. According to insiders, Joaquin Phoenix will receive $20 million to play the clown prince of crime once more, while Lady Gaga will receive roughly $12 million to play Harley Quinn. Filming on Joker 2 began in December 2022, and Phillips released a picture of Fleck shaving during that period. When filming on the sequel came to an end, the director also revealed brand-new pictures of it.
Recall that last year, The Flash, another DC movie, flopped with a budget of around $300 million. Meanwhile, Disney’s The Marvels posted disappointing box office results, with a budget of around $274.8 million. So let’s hope this hero universe movie improves drastically.
