‘Stranger Things’ became a global phenomenon since its first season premiered in 2016. This Netflix series was in charge of sending the cast’s careers to stardom worldwide including Joe Keery who recently addressed the final season’s approach. He stated it wouldn’t be easy to shoot the last season of the successful series.
Despite the popular belief that actors and actresses always celebrate when a project culminates in order to focus on new projects, this is not the case for Joe Keery. The actor had a convo with Women Wears Daily and expressed his thoughts at the end of the series.
“It does feel like it’s time. It won’t be easy for it to end. I mean, I owe my whole career to being on that show and all the opportunities that I had since are because of that show. So it’s very convoluted. There’s a sense of relief, there’s a sense of sadness. I guess my goal is to just really soak it up as much as I can while we’re doing it, and not take any of it for granted because it’s been an amazing ride with such great people. And then once it’s done, move forward and try to just hold on to the joy that we had when we were making it….Everything has a beginning and the middle and an end. It’ll be nice to have the end of this too.”
Joe Keery is aware he is ready to venture into new projects where he is ready to grow as an actor. Despite the great love Joe has for the series, he knows life has to go on and so he has. This is the first farewell from the actor to the Stranger Things franchise.
