Wonyoung from IVE is pretty much a dessert psychic, and fans are loving it! Back in January 2025, she appeared on Dex’s Fridge Interview, and when Dex peeked at her pistachio spread, she immediately mentioned “Dubai Chocolate.” Dex joked that Dubai Chocolate rose faster than anyone and fell faster than anyone in 2024. Wonyoung fired back, responding that the first trend of 2025 would be Dubai Chocolate.
“But I still eat it. The first trend of 2025 will be Dubai Chocolate,” The IVE member predicted.
Look at what Wonyoung did to Korea:
one Instagram story turned Dubai Chewy Cookie into a nationwide trend
– 1.13M+ searches in a month
– daily sell-outs despite ₩5,000–₩10,000+ pricing
– #1 on Coupang Eats
– dominant on Baemin all December with 10× search growth

Fast forward to now, and her yummy prophecy is now a full-circle moment. Dubai Chocolate is still a nostalgic fave from 2023 and 2024, but South Korea is officially in obsession mode with the Dubai Chewy Cookie, also nicknamed Du Jjon Ku. This sweet treat consists of a marshmallow dough mixed with Kataifi and pistachio, covered in cacao powder. The texture is chewy, crispy, and basically super popular, because people are lining up for it, and social media is eating it up as well.
A new article (which is trending 2nd place) confirms that the ‘Dubai Chewy Chocolate’ trend currently dominating Korea was catalyzed by Wonyoung.

But IVE’s Wonyoung is not only about having a dessert fame! The group will be booked and busy in early 2026 with their Show What I Am World Tour. Meanwhile, they will also be performing for end of year shows. Wonyoung might be a trend psychic, but her agenda is tight, proving that you can predict snacks and still slay the stage.
