IVE has made their grand return with their fourth EP, “IVE SECRET”, marking an iconic moment in their musical careers with the title track, “XOXZ.” The girls are ready to bring all the IVE fantasy to the audience.
On August 25 KST, the 808 bass, drum rhythm, and minimalist vocals took over the Kpop scene after the “XOXZ” song was released. The music video shows an ethereal yet futuristic atmosphere, where all the girls look flawless, dancing among flower fields on a distant planet, blending perfectly with the urban atmosphere.
The “I love you, good night. See you in my dreams” catchphrase perfectly captures the music video’s energy, as the fantasy-inspired concept brings something new to the table. In addition, IVE’s Wonyoung wrote the lyrics for the title track, adding a personal touch to the newest release. What are your thoughts on this release?
