Lisa is one of the most influential members of BLACKPINK and she has quickly become one of the exponents of the K-Pop genre on a global scale. However, her fans, the so-called BLINKS, are currently speculating about her future with the girl group as her contract might expire in the upcoming months.
According to the popular news site Munhwa Ilbo, the Thair rapper is currently in talks with YG Entertainment regarding her contract which is set to expire in August. Despite this, they haven’t reached any agreement yet and this has fueled the rumors of her departure from BLACKPINK.
“We have been working with Lisa and YG Entertainment to see if she can appear on our show, but they have told us that it is difficult to discuss any schedules past August due to uncertainty with contract renewals.”
Although BLINKS are confident in Lisa renewing her contract with YG Entertainment, some of them think that there is a small chance that she does not continue with BLACKPINK after her contract expires. According to them, it is highly likely that she has been receiving amazing offers from different agencies all over the world so maybe she is thinking of signing with them.
As of today, neither Lisa nor YG Entertainment have released any kind of statement addressing the speculations about her departure from the girl group. This is extremely concerning for the BLINKS as Jennie, Rosé, and Jisoo were able to reach agreements with the agency and continue with BLACKPINK.
