MONSTA X’s I.M will be taking a break from the group’s overseas activities and their massive 2026 world tour “THE X: NEXUS.” On December 5, 2026, Starship Entertainment released a detailed update explaining that I.M is currently gearing up for his mandatory military service and is still waiting for confirmation of his official enlistment date. In addition, he has been receiving treatment for recurring back pain, and professionals have advised him to limit any activities that could worsen his pain.
Starship shared that while I.M will remain active in smaller activities that do not push his physical limits, he will not be joining the group on international promotions or the upcoming tour. Their statement emphasized his health and safety, expressing that the company will continue supporting him so he can complete his military service in good condition.
