Jungkook was supposed to share the stage with Usher at this iconic event, making him the first K-pop artist to do so. But HYBE’s management said that his enlistment timing crushed those dreams, leading ARMY to vent their frustrations online. The hashtag “Jungkook_탈하이브” is trending as fans demand better from the label.
Cultural critic Kim Heon Sik didn’t mince words, calling out HYBE for missing the chance to spotlight Jungkook’s talent. Some others even said that the “Seven” singer could’ve delayed his enlistment, considering he was still under 30 years old and had made a significant contribution to South Korean arts and culture.
