Netflix’s “Kpop Demon Hunters” became a global phenomenon for its amazing plot and marvelous soundtrack. The movie has shown the best of the Kpop scene worldwide, and fans are already loving it. HUNTR/X, the fictional girl band, has translated their major success in the movie to the real charts in the United States.
On August 11, Billboard confirmed that after a tied race for the No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts between Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” and HUNTR/X’s “Golden,” the fictional Kpop girlband has emerged victorious, earning their first number one in the region.
In addition, HUNTR/X has made history by becoming the first #1 for a female K-Pop artist ever, first #1 for a girl group since Destiny’s Child, breaking a 24-year-old record, and becoming the second song from an animated film to reach #1 this decade, along with Disney’s Encanto song, “We don’t Talk About Bruno” in 2022.
