Based on research with data collected from 70 major SNS platforms, Google trends, Google news, and even offline street polls, Nubia compiled a list of the 10 most popular K-Pop idols in the world. The list included the likes of Cha Eunwoo, EXO’s Baekhyun, and BLACKPINK‘s Lisa, but first place went to BTS‘s V. About the idol, the British magazine wrote:
“The man who literally wants to crash the internet with his fame and popularity. Our research shows: He is the face and the most popular name in his group, we can boldly say that he currently has the most dedicated fan base in Kpop history.

As for the question of what makes V the most popular member, the writer explains:
“Well, he is a very successful popular actor and musical artist who is very good at what he does, whether it be acting or singing or even performing on stage…“
They also boldly stated that V is known to almost every K-Pop fan in the world. With V’s explosive popularity leading to Twitter silencing his name after being mistaken for a common word due to the high frequency of mention, this statement seems very rational.
