BTS DALMAJUNG 2022 is coming soon. In the process of releasing “Proof” Collector’s Edition, the photos and trailer for the new merchandise that the K-Pop group will introduce for Chuseok were revealed to the public on September 2nd and 3rd. In these previews, the idols wear the traditional Korean hanbok.
Chuseok is one of the most important traditional holidays in South Korea and BTS celebrates it by presenting the DALMAJUNG. This is a set of products that are inspired by the traditional culture of the country of origin of the boy group. Hanbok as a dress code is one of its main attractions.
The word that was chosen for this special merchandise is related to the action of looking at the full moon on Chuseok to make a wish.
The meaning of “Dal” is moon, while “majung” refers to meeting.

Chuseok falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, but the celebrations are spread over three consecutive dates (central day plus the day before and after). That said, this year it will be from September 9th to 11th.
This festivity arose with the purpose of thanking the ancestors for the abundant harvest in autumn. Currently it is also a reason for family reunions and is often described as Korea’s Thanksgiving Day.
