For KPOP lovers, the name FIFTY FIFTY will be familiar, but for casual listeners, this is the new KPOP group that promises to break records this 2023, as it has already become the fastest rookie group to debut on the Billboard Hot 100.
The 4 girls have achieved this milestone with their single “Cupid”, breaking the record as the fastest group to reach this mark. The Billboard team reported that the song “Cupid (Twin Version)” by the group FIFTY FIFTY, entered the #100 position on the Billboard Hot 100.
FIFTY FIFTY achieved this mark after hovering for several weeks under the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 and taking over the TikTok viral charts. What is even more surprising is that they have managed to set this record just 4 months after their official debut album “THE FIFTY FIFTY”.

The group has broken the record previously set by NewJeans, who managed to enter 6 months after their debut. With this, the girls join Wonder Girls, BTS, BLACKPINK, TWICE and NewJeans as the only groups in history to enter the Billboard Hot 100, as well as being the first from a small company to do so.
