FIFTY FIFTY has gained a lot of attention since the uncomfortable situation with ATTRAKT which held an investment meeting with an anonymous American label on April 28, 2023, which drew the attention because it was one week before Aran’s surgery. The idols released a statement that sparked controversy among the netizens.

On October 14th FIFTY FIFTY wanted to clear the situation through a complex situation by stating they didn’t have any prior notice for the meeting and revealed after the surgery, Aran was promised a two-month long time off to recover. The situation turned out to be worse after CEO Jeon gave affirmative and positive answers to the investors without thinking twice about the girls’ capabilities.

Nothing during the discussion was previously accepted or approved by FIFTY FIFTY which led to the controversy. According to the statement, CEO Jeon encouraged the members to lie before the investors about their capacities at the time.

We wanted to hide in a hole.

In addition, the girl band listed misleading information by CEO Jeon during the investment meeting such as he said FIFTY FIFTY had already recorded English versions of all four songs on their debut album and the frustration came out because they only recorded “Tell Me” in English

Following the controversial declarations from FIFTY FIFTY, the netizens couldn’t believe what happened at that time and they didn’t want to address the situation from day one which caused a backlash among the girls. In addition, the netizens pointed out they could release the statement earlier and explained they might be entering a hiatus until CEO Jeon addressed the whole controversy.
