On November 5, Eugenio Derbez appeared at the Regency Bruin Theatre with his wife, the beautiful actress and singer Alessandra Rosaldo, for the presentation of his new film Radical, where he was able to approach Universal to talk about his experience:
“I am very happy because for me to premiere ‘Radical’ in the United States with a Mexican story and spoken entirely in Spanish is a triumph. I remember when I was eight years old and watched the Oscar ceremony, dreaming that one day I could be in Hollywood. I forgot that dream for a long time and I remembered it until I was 42. It was then that I returned to fight for that dream and now here I am.
Undoubtedly, the fact that the film has reached Hollywood is one more triumph for the actor with a film that won the audience award at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival, indicating that it is a film of great quality and if you don’t know it, here is the synopsis:
Based on a true story, it follows a teacher in a Mexican border town full of neglect, corruption and violence as he tries a radically new method to unlock the curiosity, potential and maybe even genius of his students.
