ENHYPEN’s music agency, HYBE, has announced that the boys’ webtoon, “Dark Moon: The Blood Art,” will have a significant anime adaptation for next year! Fans are amazed by the great influence ENHYPEN has in the Kpop scene.

“Dark Moon: The Blood Altar” is an urban fantasy teen romance that follows seven vampire boys and one girl. The webtoon is directly connected to ENHYPEN’s music universe, and it already surpassed 200 million views in July. The sequel “Dark Moon: The Two Moons,” released last month, quickly topped global charts.

The anime gained significant attention this year when Aniplex, a Sony Music Japan subsidiary, officially revealed that the webtoon was in production plans. In addition, the Japanese animation studio, TROYCA, has also joined the project, boosting the fans’ expectations.

When will it be available to stream?

“Dark Moon: The Blood Altar” will begin airing in Japan on January 9 through major TV channels and anime platforms. The 12-episode series will be broadcast on TOKYO MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV, and will also be available globally on Crunchyroll. HYBE stated the importance of the project for the Kpop scene:

“The anime adaptation of “Dark Moon: The Blood Altar” is significant because it represents the expansion of a K-pop-originated story IP into webtoon and anime formats, completed in Japan, the home of animation. It will offer fans a new and more vivid way to experience the world of Dark Moon.”
