Singer Robin Thicke was accused of sexual harassment by model and actress Emily Ratajkowski. She claims, in her book “My Body”, that he touched her bare breasts without permission while recording the video for “Blurred Lines” in 2013. The excerpt from the book was released by Rolling Stone magazine.

According to Emily, she shot some nude scenes at the request of director Diana Martel, whom she trusted. But Emily was very upset when Robin Thicke was unprofessional. He arrived on set drunk and didn’t respect her.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, I felt the icy skin of someone’s hands enveloping my bare breasts. I instinctively pulled away, looked back, and saw it was Robin Thicke. He smirked and took a few steps back, his eyes hidden by his dark glasses. My head turned to the other side when I heard Diane’s voice yelling, ‘Are you okay?‘” says the model.

She also says that she hasn’t revealed this story before so as not to harm the director. But Diana herself confirmed the sexual harassment, in an interview with The Sunday Times.

I remember the moment he did that, took her breast in each hand. I yelled in my Brooklyn accent, ‘What the f**** are you doing?

It’s over for today, enough!’. Robin apologized later” he narrated.

In other releated news, “Blurred Lines” only caused a headache. As soon as the song was released, it was criticized for glorifying rape culture. Despite that, she went on to go #1 in 25 countries and spent 12 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

As “Blurred Lines” uses a sample of “Got To Give It Up” by Marvin Gay , Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams had to deal with a lawsuit. Marvin Gaye’s family has filed for damages for unauthorized use of his work. In 2018, the artists were ordered to pay million .

At one point in the process, Thicke tried to escape, tossing the blame in Pharrell’s lap, but he didn’t.

Thicke said he was drunk during the recording session and it was Pharrell who came up with the sample idea. It didn’t do any good.
