CRAVITY’s Seongmin has always been highlighted as one of the most talented and charismatic members of the boy group, since his debut in 2020 with the mini album “Hideout: Remember Who We Are” the idol has gained an audience and fans around the world. This time around, the South Korean hasn’t shared good news.
Seongmin has revealed he has been going through a journey with family matters, particularly his mother’s health issues that ultimately made him go take a difficult decision, the idol is set to go on hiatus for a while.
On October 11, Seongmin’s music agency, Starship Entertainment released a short but clarifying statement regarding the idol’s current situation with his mother. The label stated: “We’d like to inform you about the hiatus of CRAVITY member Seongmin’s activities. Seongmin’s mother is about to undergo a major surgery due to illness.”
Starship Entertainment also clarified that this hiatus is going to take a while, so CRAVITY will continue on as 8 members without Seongmin this time.
“We decided after sufficient discussion with the CRAVITY members and Seongmin that it’s best for Seongmin to stay by his mother’s side for the time being. Activities after today’s announcement will be carried out by 8 members, excluding Seongmin.”
CRAVITY’s Seongmin has been completely supported on social media after the unfortunate news, his fans, better known as LUVITY, flooded the media with beautiful messages towards the idol. We expect Seongmin’s mom’s surgery to have a good outcome and that Seongmin will be able to enjoy time with her during this hiatus.
