One of the most anticipated films is Oppenheimer, which has recently been released and is experiencing its first weekend, with more and more information coming out about the filming, including that Cillian Murphy underwent sacrifices to star in “Oppenheimer”.
Oppenheimer is the Universal movie that talks about the creation of the atomic bomb and all the moral issues that the creator had, making a biographical story full of drama to history, which apparently Cillian Murphy would have gone through in his impersonation process.
Speaking to People magazine one of his co-stars Robert Downey Jr. also witnessed all the sacrifices Cillian Murphy had to face in order to give that amazing performance with which many have been stunned. Robert remarked “I have never witnessed a sacrifice as great as the one Cillian made for his role”.
And it was never easy for the actor to play Robert Oppenheimer, besides going through an incredible diet in order to lose many kilos, the actor also had to postpone many of his projects and personal matters in order to fulfill the enormous commitment to know his character to the letter.
Robert said that at times he might say to him “Hey we have a three-day weekend and we’re probably going antique shopping in Santa Fe. What are you going to do?” and Cillian’s response would simply be “Oh, I have to learn 30,000 words of Dutch, I hope you have a good time.
