After Mark’s surprising departure from NCT, Chenle breaks his silence, sharing his own position, opinions, and a new perspective for all fans going through this time of the boy group.
On March 3rd, SM Entertainment shared the sad news, followed by a heartwarming letter from the idol and some of his members’ statements expressing their support for their former member’s new phase in his career.
Chenle recently joined these reactions through his Bubble fan chat, confessing he is also sad and understands fans’ confusion and anger but also gratitude for all the hard work the idol has done in the 10 years in NCT and its subunits and continue saying:
“Also, I hope you don’t believe too much of the speculation or rumors online about Mark or the other Dream members… Like saying it’s because of this or that. Rumors are just rumors, and there’s no evidence that they’re true.”
The idol also understands that for fans “it’s hard to imagine NCT or NCT Dream without Mark,” but he assures that “even if he’s not here anymore, we are Dream, we are NCT, and we have to show—and we will show—that what we do is still solid.”
Chenle talks about feeling resentful toward Mark, but he “truly loves you all, Dream, 127, and NCT as a whole, so before making this decision and after it was made, we talked a lot from beginning to end.” And finally, watch this situation as an opportunity to grow:
“I think this could be an opportunity for everyone to grow bigger and faster. The process won’t be easy. But I think everything will turn out okay in the end.”
