Prince Harry and the Royal Family are back in the eye of the hurricane as the Palace is denying the Prince’s latest Canada trip claims. This time, it seems reconciliation is far from becoming a reality for the two parties.
Recently, Prince William kicked off November with a royal tour in Brazil to present the “Earthshot Prize.” The trip happened at the same time as the Duke of Sussex’s trip to Canada, and he was accused of trying to upstage his older brother, which his team denied in a Daily Mail statement:
“He is not afforded the same level of security and protection as other working members of the Royal Family. The period of time in which we can release details of events is much more truncated than it is for His Majesty the King or the Prince of Wales. The events were planned nearly a year ago. The date of the main event, the dinner, is set by the charity, not Prince Harry. The period of Remembrance traditionally extends from 1-11 November and has been observed since 1918, for over 100 years. He can’t choose to move those dates.“
Immediately, Buckingham Palace released a short but important statement regarding Prince Harry’s claims. The Palace is denying they had any advance notice of Harry’s trip, despite the Prince allegedly agreeing to share the details of his diary with them. People Magazine and the Times reported:
“Harry’s trip to Canada caught palace aides by surprise, despite the Duke of Sussex’s team saying it had informed No one at the Palace received the memo, leading to questions as to whether it was ever sent.”
