One of the most popular members of the K-Pop kings, BTS’s Jungkook, is facing major problems after making public his performance during the opening of World Cup Qatar 2022, due to the rain of critics for the country’s lack of human rights.
Via HYBE‘s network people received the news about Jungkook participating in the inauguration. In the statement they said they were really proud of Jungkook for being part of World Cup Qatar 2022 soundtrack, and also because he would be along amazing artists in it.
However, things did not aged well for the “Golden Maknae“, since he has received a big backlash after the announcement.
As everybody knows, this World Cup is receiving a lot of criticism after Qatar got elected as the host country for football biggest event. The critics mention real major problems as how Qatar treats women, condemn homosexuality and commit acts that attacks human rights. That’s why a lot of people were expecting from famous artist to be against this and not acting in support of this World Cup.
Until now, neither Jungkook nor HYBE has made any statement about this situation. In general, people is just expecting a response on why is Jungkook supporting this after knowing everything that is involved on it. Let’s remember Dua Lipa denied any “confirmation” from the media saying she would perform in the inauguration, with a post on her Instagram, she said: “I will not be performing and nor have i ever been involved in any negotiation to perform. I look forward to visiting Qatar when it has fulfilled all the human rights pledges it made when it won the right to host the World Cup”. ()
