ARMY has always celebrated the birthdays of the BTS members in a big way, and Jin‘s 30th birthday was no exception, especially since this year the event has a bittersweet nuance, and there are only a few days left for the idol to enlist in military service.

This 2022, Jin turned 30, the maximum age to fulfill the mandatory duty of training as a soldier for his country. The singer planned to leave in 2021, but he decided to wait a little longer to be able to participate in face-to-face shows with ARMY and his groupmates.

In October, the oldest member of BTS officially debuted as a soloist with the single “The Astronaut“, a track on which Jin collaborated with Coldplay. What better way to close your twenties than to premiere a song and a live performance with your musical idol at the Monumental Stadium in Buenos Aires.

J-Hope called me and sang ‘The Astronaut’. I hadn’t remembered it was my birthday and he was the first to greet me“, he recounted how Hobi called him at midnight.

Among all the people I know, I am the luckiest. Meeting all of you ARMYs was also lucky.

I am so happy“, the South Korean said.
