BTS’ music agency, HYBE, has been making short but substantial announcements about BTS’ grand comeback. However, BTS’ fans, better known as ARMY, are disappointed the boys might not return this year with any musical project.
On March 31 KST, shareholders gathered at HYBE Labels’ annual board meeting, presided over by CEO Lee Jae Sang. During the meeting, he was asked about plans for BTS to resume their group activities in 2025. However, the answer wasn’t well received.
“All of the members will be discharged from their military service duties this year. Upon their return, the members need plenty of time to prepare. The company is currently proceeding with the necessary preparations, holding talks with top music producers. But this matter also requires significant deliberation from the perspectives of the members. Typically, artists work on an album, release that album, and then embark on a tour. However, BTS are artists of top global status, and this status demands a careful evaluation of the group’s vision for what is ‘next’.“
In addition, HYBE Labels’ Chief Financial Officer, Lee Kyung Joon, also addressed the situation by stating they are preparing everything for BTS’ promotion plans for 2026. Therefore, they don’t have any projections laid out at this time.
