With his new achievement of 70 million followers, V keeps his record of most-followed male Korean soloist on Instagram and the second most-followed Korean male act overall, only after his boy group BTS’ account, which has 77 million followers.

Previously, the BTS member earned two Guinness World Records for becoming the fastest person to reach 1 million and 10 million Instagram followers, both within hours of joining Instagram, and continued his streak of achievements on the platform by reaching 70 million Instagram followers.
