BTS’ V and RM shine as a dynamic duo, making the cut!
BTS members RM and V have made history as the only Asian artists featured in the 2024 Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Honor Roll, spotlighting their global influence and contribution to these genres.
On September 8, Billboard shook fans with an announcement that had ARMY buzzing. For the first time, BTS’ RM and V were included in the 2024 Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Honor Roll, making them the only Asian artists to be recognized on the list.
The Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Honor Roll celebrates artists who have topped charts and made impactful contributions to the genre between August 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024. Take a look at the announcement here, with BTS’ RM and V standing out among the honored names:

This honor is part of V’s impact with his solo debut album, “Layover,” which draws heavy inspiration from R&B and soul. Meanwhile, RM’s second studio album “Right Place, Wrong Person” cements his contributions to R&B, not to mention his strong devotion to hip-hop music in previous releases.
