The trailer presents BTS’s return after military service and solo projects

Netflix released the trailer for BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG ahead of the group’s live concert special, immediately raising excitement among fans. The teaser opens by recalling the moment BTS announced their hiatus so the members could complete mandatory military service and focus on their solo projects.

As the trailer plays, the members share heartfelt reactions about missing each other and wanting to return to the stage. RM also reminds viewers that BTS promised they would come back, saying, “We promised our fans that we’d be back.” The sneak-peek also gives each member a short solo moment with name cards on screen. It uses an orchestral version of “Mikrokosmos,” a song from MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA, to create a dramatic and nostalgic atmosphere.

The concert special streams live from Seoul after the album release

The special will stream live on Netflix from Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, South Korea, on March 21, 2026. It has been announced as the first full BTS group concert since 2022, coming one day after the release of the group’s upcoming album “ARIRANG.” The project will be released on March 20, 2026. To create the album, BTS joined forces with top-tier producers such as Diplo, Mike Will Made It, El Guincho, Ryan Tedder, and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker. In addition, members RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jungkook, Jin, Jimin, and V are all credited as songwriters across the tracklist, indicating their involvement in the album’s creative process.

The production team and tour schedule expand the comeback event

The live special is directed by Hamish Hamilton, with executive production by HYBE, BIGHIT MUSIC, and additional producers, alongside Done + Dusted. Fans can watch live at 8 p.m. KST on Saturday, March 21, 2026, which is 7 a.m. ET and 4 a.m. PT in the United States. The concert also serves as a lead-in to the BTS WORLD TOUR ARIRANG, which begins on April 9, 2026, in Goyang, South Korea, with three dates. The tour is slated to continue internationally, with 82 dates across 34 cities worldwide. In addition, fans will also get theater broadcasts of the April 11, 2026, Goyang concert and the April 18, 2026, Tokyo concert before the boy band visits their other scheduled performances in the world.
