During BTS‘ promotional agenda, the boys reunited to teach fans some Korean, where RM took the opportunity to share his funny reaction when someone wished him “break a leg” in the United States.
On April 3rd, Vogue shared a new video with the boy group members Suga, RM, Jung Kook, and J-Hope titled ‘BTS (방탄소년단) Teaches You Korean | Vogue,’ where they give fans a crash course in popular Korean expressions and tips to learn their language.
When they were starting the video and explaining the dynamic, the leader of the boy group pointed out the differences in language expressions, recalling the first time someone wished him luck with the famous phrase “break a leg.”
“At one of our US concerts, in maybe 2018, one of the crew members said to me, ‘Yo, break a leg.’ It was right before we went onstage, so I was like, ‘What? Break a leg?'”
RM made clear he was surprised and confused by this phrase, as he didn’t know what it meant at that time, and Jungkook said, “but its like ‘fighting,’ right?” and his member confirmed by ending his story saying:
“I looked it up later and was like, ‘Oh.'”
