Jungkook undeniably became one of the biggest artists from South Korea and gave great exposure to K-pop overseas. His talent and dedication haven’t halted from taking him to the top, recently, Jungkook performed as a headliner at the 2023 Global Citizen Festival in New York where he teased a new single along with Jack Harlow.
On September 23, Jungkook took over the stage and made a sensational performance which his fans, better known as the ARMY, stated was one of his best performances to date. At the end of the show, Jungkook surprised everyone by leaving a mysterious teaser for a song played on screen which created numerous speculations among the netizens.
BigHit Music officially addressed the exciting situation by announcing that “3D” was a new solo digital single featuring Jack Harlow. The music agency released a statement:
“Jungkook’s second solo single, ‘3D (featuring Jack Harlow),’ is a pop R&B track with clever expressions of feelings toward an unattainable person from the perspectives of first, second, and third dimensions. Get ready to meet an even more mature side of Jungkook following ‘Seven (featuring Latto).’”
In addition, the Golden Maknae unveiled two hero films and concept photos for his newest single which is set to be premiered on September 29.
Jungkook took everyone off guard although in July he revealed on Suga’s talk show, “Suchwita” that he planned to release one more single and then release his solo debut album. The ARMY couldn’t been more thrilled for “3D” but at the same time, they are aware the debut album is closer than ever.
