BTS’s Jungkook is once again the talk of the town, unfortunately, not for all the good reasons. Recently, a Chinese national was accused of leading an international organization that stole assets that targeted Jungkook and other stars, causing profound damage to their finances.
On May 13 KST, the Ministry of Justice and the Korean National Police Agency confirmed that a 40-year-old Chinese Citizen was captured and transferred from Bangkok to Incheon International Airport after stealing assets worth approximately $25 million.
The Golden Makane was among those targeted, with approximately $5.6 million worth of HYBE shares reportedly stolen last year. However, actual financial losses were prevented after HYBE froze the transactions.
The cyber investigation unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency made an enormous effort to capture these individuals and restore peace in South Korea. Fortunately, Jungkook didn’t suffer any other damage and is currently performing in BTS’s new ARIRANG world tour.
