BTS member Jungkook asked fans to respect his privacy after describing an uncomfortable interaction during a public outing. During a Weverse live stream, the “Seven” singer explained that he does not have a problem meeting fans when they approach him politely. However, he said that personal boundaries still matter, even in a public place.
Jungkook said he had gone to watch the Korean film Hope by himself. After leaving the movie theater, several fans recognized him and asked whether they could take photos. Because they asked politely, he agreed and posed with them. The interaction changed when he later stopped at a nearby bakery to buy bread. According to the BTS member, another person stood in front of him and pointed a camera at his face without asking. He said the behavior made him uncomfortable and felt rude. “I don’t really think that’s very respectful. I don’t care how old you are or where you’re from… just sticking a camera in someone’s face like that… I felt that was kind of rude.”
The Korean star has raised similar concerns before. He has spoken about people sending food deliveries to his home without permission and about attempts to enter his residence without consent.
