BTS’ Maknae, which means youngest member, is Jungkook, and he also happens to be the most popular out of the 7 members, so when he took to Instagram to share some news with his fans, half the platform turned an eye towards him.
The 25-year-old South Korean singer re appeared on social media after more then 1 month of absence due to the brief hiatus that the BTS group is taking to fulfill their duties as South Korean citizens by serving in the military.
Each member has been given a 3 year period, from October 2022 till December 2025 to fulfil their 2 years obligation with the Army, after that period expires, they will come back as a seven member group. That, however, has not stopped them from interacting with their fans.
Jin has been sending videos from the militia, and since the rest of the members have not enrolled in the military, they are still putting out content to their fans.
Jungkook’s return to social media was rumored to be a goodbye stream to announce his military service enlistment, hence the reason why it gathered more than 900k live viewers, breaking records on the platform.
While most of the viewers were expecting some news about the military service, instead, he revealed that he did NOT ask for permission to make the live stream, and he also showed his dog on camera, which is NOT allowed, confessing his rebellion against his record label slash managing team.
