BTS’ Jungkook became the first Korean soloist in 9 years to earn Brit silver certification in the United Kingdom

BTS’ Jungkook has been heaped with praise since the release of his highly-anticipated debut album, “GOLDEN,” which was dropped on November 3. The album was successful worldwide, and this shows after he earned his first Brit silver certification in the United Kingdom as a Korean soloist.

The British Phonographic Industry was pleased to announce that, after nine years, a Korean soloist earned a silver certification in the United Kingdom. Jungkook has achieved the feat with his debut single, “Seven” featuring Latto, after trespassing the 200,000 units sold milestone.

Previously, PSY earned a Brit silver certification two times with his smash songs, “Gangnam Style,” and “Gentleman” nearly a decade ago in 2014. This feat is a major demonstration of Jungkook’s great influence overseas, particularly in the United Kingdom, where he debuted at No. 3 on the UK’s official Charts earlier in July.
