In recent days, netizens and fans of Jungkook, a member of the boy group BTS, have discussed on social media the recent scandal caused by images of the idol smoking a cigarette in the United States, in an area where it would be prohibited by California state law.
Last Thursday, September 7th, the K-Pop idol was captured by paparazzi outside a renowned restaurant in Los Angeles smoking cigarettes. The photos were quickly spread and viralized on social networks, causing all kinds of reactions and criticism.
After these controversial images, strong debates began where they accuse the Golden Maknae of BTS of violating the law of the United States, ensuring that smoking is not allowed in that area and that this is stipulated by the county law, so the idol has continued in the middle of criticism.
For their part, several Jungkook fans have defended the singer, pointing out that there are no restrictions on smokers in that place, and they even confirmed with images that there was a public ashtray in that place, which would mean that smoking is allowed.
Among those who defended the BTS member, some pointed to the photos with the intention of discrediting the South Korean, however one declared the following in his defense; “Smoking is not a criminal act, this is why JK fans are becoming unbearable, they want to create controversy over every tiny and ridiculous thing“.

To me, the pictures look altered. Who knows, he could have been holding a pen in that fashion. It is not against the law to smoke out in public like it is in public restaurants, parks, or other public buildings unless there is a designated area for smokers. I've said it once, I shall say it again, he has the right to his privacy. He is only human. I just think it is quite funny that when a non-celebrity type person can do so and not get slandered for it, but once a person of celebrity status does this, it has to be put in social media for others to criticize, be judgmental, or be negative about said person. All I have to say is that everyone needs to get over themselves and let people be people no matter their status. I said what I said.✌️
