These offended fans questioned why age jokes were acceptable in one context but criticized in another. 
Despite the backlash, a large portion of the fandom defended the group, emphasizing that Jin himself was laughing and clearly comfortable with the jokes. Fans argued that this kind of banter has always been part of BTS’s dynamic and that reading malice into it was a stretch.
