BTS’ J-Hope latest bop, “Killin’ It Girl,” was banned from KBS broadcasts when it first dropped, but that changed after a smart move by the rapper. On June 11, the song was flagged for breaking Article 46 of the broadcasting review code due to brand mentions in the lyrics. It was seen as promotional content, which goes against KBS rules. The ban meant the track couldn’t be performed on shows like Music Bank due to its flagging.

Fast forward to June 20, and things took a turn. A revised version of the song was submitted with the brand lyrics removed. KBS reviewed it again and officially approved the track for airplay. Both the solo and GloRilla-featured versions are now cleared for broadcast across KBS television and radio. The update was confirmed on July 9, making it a cool moment for fans who had been waiting to see J-Hope perform live.

The song, released on June 13, 2025, is a catchy mix of pop and hip-hop that captures J-Hope’s aura and cool vibes. Its music video made waves too, hitting one million views on YouTube in just 43 minutes. That made it the fastest K-pop video to do so this year. With the ban lifted and the buzz building, J-Hope is once again killin’ it on every level.
