Okay, ARMY, time to call out HYBE for their wrong behavior! This time, the parent company of BTS’ label, BIGHIT MUSIC, sparked controversy among fans due to some fatphobic and insensitive content that was supposed to entertain ARY (that’s the name BTS fans wear proudly).
It all went down today, April 25, when HYBE dropped some content for BTS fans titled “A day in the life with BTS.” It was all about giving us the chance to interact as BTS members, choosing their favorite options in a questionnaire. Unfortunately, it all came up the wrong way!
Things took a sour turn when the first question on the page said, “Your favorite pants no longer fit, but you’re hungry — what do you do?!” Then, the possible answers to choose were even worse. Option A, “having a glass of water” to fit in the pants and not be hungry, and then, option B, which offered having another “cheat day.”
This provoked tons of backlash from ARMY and other fans, who criticized the language used and the fatphobic remarks. They quickly pointed out that HYBE was promoting body issues and eating disorders, affecting BTS and their fanbase.
