Okay, BTS stans, the time has come! Jin will finally be discharged from his mandatory military service tomorrow, June 12, 2024. After 18 long months, we will soon be able to see the BTS member dazzle us with his presence. The good news was announced by Big Hit Music, the group’s label, on the Weverse platform.
“We are excited to bring you the news of Jin’s upcoming military discharge. Jin is close to completing his active service in the army and will soon be discharged.”
Now that ARMY (that’s the name BTS fans wear proudly) knows the “Astronaut” singer will soon reunite with them, it’s no surprise they’ve decided to celebrate the occasion! In a now-viral video posted across social media platforms, several South Korean BTS fans were spotted partying in the streets of Argentina. The clip shows 4 cars packed with people, waving purple balloons and celebrating Jins’ return.

While the definitive bye-bye to military training is closer than ever, the label still noted that there were no events on the discharge day, and asked fans to avoid visiting the place to prevent overcrowding accidents. Instead, on June 13 Jin will meet fans during a special event for the BTS “Festa,” which celebrates the group’s anniversary.
