A pitched battle broke out on social media between BTS and BLACKPINK fans over a technical error of the VMAs, the whole situation really became tedious and BLACKPINK was the most affected group.
Early in the morning, social media started to spread that BLACKPINK had won the moon walker to the “Group Of The Year” category, causing BLINK’s excitement on social media.

The VMAs even shared a tweet of the situation and BLINK was just waiting for the official announcement. But, when the official announcement was made, BTS was declared the winner and ARMY jumped with excitement.

Of course, the situation gave a bitter taste for the BLINKs, as the VMAs didn’t clarify from the beginning that the girls had NOT won the award, and not to get the BLINK fandom’s hopes up like that.
