Billboard presented the first edition of its brand new Hot Trending Songs Charts. As the list shows the most mentioned songs of the week on Twitter, it is no wonder that K-pop songs top the ranking.
Of the 20 positions in this ranking, 15 are occupied by K-pop. BTS is the ensemble that tops the chart and the act that placed the most songs on the chart.
It should be noted that these data are measured in real time on the Billboard page, but the official weekly ranking will be published on Tuesdays (tracking valid from Friday to Thursday).
The No. 1 spot is held by BTS’ “Permission to dance,” which was the first song to top the 24-hour, seven-day realtime charts. According to Billboard, it reached 1.1 million mentions on Twitter during the week of registration (10/15 to 10/21).

The septet formed by RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook appears three more times: in position 4 is their collaboration with Coldplay “My universe”; in 7 appears “butter”; and “Dynamite” ranks 12th.
On the other hand, BLACKPINK’s Lisa claims second and third place on the chart with the two songs from her solo album “Money” and “Lalisa”.
Despite being a rookie group, ENHYPEN has captivated a sizable active fanbase on social media. His comeback “Tamed-Dashed” is placed on the fifth rung. Side b “Go big or go home” also comes in at position 16 and the topic “Just a little bit” is #18.
