Brenda Song shared what life has been after giving birth her new child with her husband.
Brenda talks to The Cut in a very good interview. The Dollface and famous actress candidly revealed some things about her son. The couple welcomed Dakota (Her baby) in April 2021. They named him Dakota because Culkin’s later sister is named like this and she passed away in 2008 by a car accident. She was 29 then.
“The biggest challenge is being away from family,” Song said of working while raising a child. “I know everyone feels that way. There were so many long days where I’d get home and my son would already be asleep.”
Brenda revealed that she was on pressure on herself to continue breastfeeding her son while she was working. The star often asked her mother to taking care of her baby while filiming for Hulu Series.
“I pumped throughout production,” Brenda Song told. “Me and Kat Dennings would sit there and go over lines. She was the best, hiding me and holding up my sweater while I pumped.”
Brenda added that:
“missing those hours with my newborn son, it pains me, but at the end of the day, Mama’s got to put food on the table. You’ve got to make those sacrifices. Hopefully, he’ll understand.”
The actress of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody told that she and Culkin (her husband) are very “Hands-On” when it comes to their son, and they don’t have a nanny right now.
However, Brenda Song’s mother has been helping them since dakota was born. The famous star advises anyone who may be considering getting pregnant that makes sure they have help, because people will need some help, she said parens are very good to help because “You want to do it all you physically can’t”.
Song and Culkin shares household duties and they’re currently focused on communication to keep a good enviroment and help navigate parenthood.
“Instead of having set duties, we just feel each other out. I’ll be putting my son down and my partner is like, ‘Let me feed the animals and get dinner ready,'” Song told..
Both stars began dating in 2017 after meeting on the set of Changeland in Thailand. People reported that they got engaged in January 2022.
