BLACKPINK’s Jisoo leads a romantic comedy about love and fantasy

Boyfriend on Demand stars BLACKPINK’s Jisoo as Seo Mi rae, a webtoon creator who is tired from work and has little time for herself. Instead of facing her disappointing love life, she enters a virtual dating service that lets her live romantic fantasies. The series is directed by Kim Jung sik and also features Seo In guk, Yoo In na, and Ha Young. The story follows Mi Rae’s personal growth as she struggles with dating and her daily routine.

“Boyfriend on Demand is a story about the personal growth of Mi-rae, who longs for love and the dopamine rush it brings, but finds dating challenging,” Jisoo told Netflix about the series. “It is a bubbly romantic comedy [that] will be a particularly delightful treat for anyone who feels worn down by the monotony of the daily grind.”

Boyfriend on Demand was released on March 2, 2026, and is now available to stream on Netflix. The cast includes Jisoo as Seo Mi rae and Seo In guk as Park Kyeong nam. Other cast members include Yoo In na and Ha Young. This K-Drama also features several actors as Mi Rae’s virtual boyfriends, including Seo Kang jun, Lee Soo hyuk, Ong Seong wu, Lee Jae wook, Lee Hyun wook, Jay Park, Kim Young dae, and Lee Sang yi. The series has 10 episodes, ranging from 50 minutes to 1 hour long each.

The drama builds around the line between virtual love fantasy and an human connection.
