Wearing a white gown that made everyone turn heads, she became the first KPop idol to win Global Hitmaker of the Year for her record-breaking single “APT.” with Bruno Mars. The Variety Hitmakers event honors the biggest musical forces of the year, and Rosé walked in to claim her well-deserved award.

Her acceptance speech was emotional and heartfelt as she talked about the unexpected turns of her career. The song that kick-started Rosé’s solo success was none other than “APT.,” which turned into a cultural wildfire. Its music video hit more than 2.1 billion views on YouTube in 225 days, and it charted on the Billboard Hot 100 for 34 weeks. Topping things off, the song even earned Rosé Grammy nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Duo/Group Performance, and also took home Song of the Year at MAMA 2025.

“The recent years of my career have been full of unexpected turns,” Rosé expressed in her sentimental acceptance speech. “Sometimes it feels overwhelming, but above all, I feel incredibly proud.”
