BLACKPINK’s Rosé has delighted fans once again, lending her voice to a beautiful cover of Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” for the trailer of Pachinko’s eagerly awaited second season. On July 22, 2024, Apple TV unveiled the trailer for the show, featuring the BLACKPINK’s member mesmerizing voice.

The trailer for Pachinko Season 2 kicks off with a familiar line from Coldplay’s 2008 hit, but guess what? This time, it’s Rosé who delivers the vocals, adding her unique sweet touch to the popular hit. As the teaser progresses, the singer’s voice weaves through the verses in a soft way, making it so things explode in a powerful chorus. The BLACKPINK diva took to Instagram to express her excitement over the cover, saying:
“I feel honored to be part of the trailer and finale of the second season of this award-winning and globally acclaimed drama series, Pachinko, on Apple TV. I hope you all look forward to season 2 and enjoy my cover of ‘Viva La Vida.'”
This cover marks Rosé’s first solo release since parting ways with YG Entertainment in late 2023. She announced on June 18, 2024, that she had joined The Black Label for her individual projects, even though she will continue working with BLACKPINK as a group under YG Entertainment.
