BLACKPINK’s Rosé has taken over the Kpop scene and brought the best to the table. Ultimately, “APT” became one of the most popular Kpop songs of this decade and the United Kingdom’s latest certification is the living proof of it.
On February 7, the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) announced that Rosé and Bruno Mars’ smash hit “APT.” had received an official BRIT platinum certification. This new mark indicates that the idol was able to surpass the threshold of 600,000 units sold in the country.
In addition, Rosé became the first female Kpop artist, including groups ever to earn a Brit Platinum certification. “APT” also became the fastest song by a Kpop act to go platinum in the country, surpassing BTS’ “Dynamite.”
“APT” reached the platinum status in less than four months after its release, while “Dynamite” took almost one complete year to reach the milestone. Definitely “APT” is here to stay and probably become the most popular song in the United Kingdom.
