On January 9, The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) was glad to announce that “APT” was certified platinum after accumulating 1 million units in sales and streams. “APT” ultimately marked a bold collaboration between Rosé and Mars which received widespread recognition for its catchy tune.
BLACKPINK’s Rosé became the first female Kpop artist to enter the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100. In addition, she also became the fastest Kpop act to reach platinum status surpassing PSY’s “Gangnam Style.” What an incredible feat!
