Okay, BLACKPINK and Lisa stans, time to wave your lighsticks! That’s because our girl Lisa just clinched the most nominations for a K-pop act in the upcoming MTV VMAs 2024. Yes, you read that right! The former music channel took notice of Lisa’s “Rockstar” single and music video, making her fans (known as BLINKs and Lillies) buzz with excitement.
The BLACKPINK member was considered for 4 categories, including best K-pop, best editing, best choreography, and best art direction. With these nominations, Lisa became the main name amongst the K-pop acts this year and one of the most nominated ones in general. The rapper and singer is behind Taylor Swift (10 nominations), Megan Thee Stallion (5), SZA (5) and ties with Teddy Swims and Olivia Rodrigo, who also have 4.

Make no mistake, Lisa is no stranger to being a huge hit in the VMAs! In 2022, she won the award for best K-pop, thanks to “Lalisa.” With this achievement, she became the first Thai artist ever to win an MTV VMA award, And guess what? It looks like she is ready to get some more!
