NikeSkims selects Lisa to represent a ballet-inspired campaign

NikeSkims has chosen BLACKPINK’s Lisa as the face of its spring 2026 campaign, placing the Thai KPop star at the center of its latest brand project. After launching in September 2025 with a campaign led by professional athletes like Serena Williams, Nike is now shifting its focus toward dance, movement, and KPop stardom. Lisa, known for her work as a rapper, singer, and dancer, stars in a short promotional film that introduces a ballet-inspired collection. The campaign promotes footwear, apparel, and accessories in soft tones like pale pink and black.

The campaign film focuses on movement and performance

The one-minute film was directed by Sergio Reis, who previously worked on Gap’s 2024 campaign featuring Troye Sivan. In the video, the BLACKPINK member performs alongside professional ballerinas and dancers, all wearing NikeSkims pieces. The visuals keep flexibility, motion, and control as the main focus. In addition, the brand is presenting its first complete head-to-toe system. The collection combines functional athletic pieces with more expressive silhouettes designed for confidence and comfort during movement.

NikeSkims reflects a shift in Nike’s marketing strategy

In a statement released with the campaign, SKIMS founder Kim Kardashian said the brand focused closely on details such as materials, colors, and fit. Following the promotional success, Kim Kardashian herself reposted fans’ videos recreating the ad on her Instagram Story. NikeSkims is also significant for Nike because it is the first entirely new brand created with an external partner. The launch came during Nike’s broader turnaround plan, known as Sport Offense, aimed at boosting performance-driven products. In December 2025, CEO Elliott Hill stated that Nike was in the middle of its comeback, with renewed emphasis on key sports categories.
