BLACKPINK have been creating hits since their debut in 2016. The girls have proven over a decade why they are still at the top of the Kpop scene for breaking boundaries and bringing the genre to diverse worldwide markets. This time, another accolade joins their legacy with “Kill This Love.”
On January 2 KST, Spotify confirmed that BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” exceeded 1 billion streams on the platform. The song was originally released on April 5, 2019, as the title track of their second mini-album of the same name. It means that the title track took over 6 years and 8 months to reach the milestone.
“Kill This Love” joins “How You Like That” in the 1-billion stream club, marking another exciting achievement by the girl group in the music scene. “Pink Venom” is also in the race to reach the milestone, currently at 960 million plays
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is ready to take over the industry with their highly anticipated comeback during the first quarter of the year. Then, the girls will conclude their “DEADLINE” world tour in Tokyo and Hong Kong on January 16, 18, 25, and 26, respectively. Congratulations to the girls!
